Huntington, West Virginia native Tate Preece has been climbing the ladder as a standout guard in the class of 2035. Tate helped lead King Academy 2035 to multiple upsets last year against some top 10 teams and is now playing with his hometown brothers at Patterson Elite from Huntington, WV. In Patterson’s first T3TV event this year, his team went undefeated in their pool and put up some tight competition vs. a top 3 team.

What separates Tate is his motor. Effort, intensity, along with the ability to read the game two plays ahead. One of his standout games this year is when Tate secured a triple double, leading his team with 24 points, 11 assists and 12 steals. When he’s in the zone, there’s no stopping him. Tate caught the attention of the Top25 scouts during the T3TV Snowball Classic in which he was quoted as, “A reliable 3-point shooter with solid passing instincts and a controlled confident handle.”
Even in clutch moments, he stays composed — a trait that’s becoming a signature part of his game. He and his teammates passion for the game have Patterson Elite ranked #13 in their first Top25Scouts event. Expect to hear more from Tate and Patterson Elite 2035.
