This past weekend in Seal Beach, California at the Power 32 AOG Championships, Damien Rosalez didn’t just play the game — he controlled it.

The 2030 guard put on a clinic in pace, poise, and precision as “SKILLED GAME” rolled through the bracket in dominant fashion. And make no mistake — Rosalez was the engine.
His hesitation dribble is elite. Defenders were stuck in neutral all weekend. Rosalez has that rare ability to speed you up, slam on the brakes, and shift directions at multiple angles without losing balance or control. One hard pound dribble, slight shoulder twitch, and he’s gone. Blink and he’s attacking the rim. React too fast and he’s stepping back into rhythm. It’s cruise control basketball at its finest.
What separates him isn’t just the handle — it’s the command. He dictates tempo like a seasoned floor general. When the game needs to slow down, he slows it. When it’s time to press the gas, he turns the corner and collapses defenses instantly.

His passing was surgical. Precision reads. On-time, on-target deliveries. And the no-look dimes? On full display. Weak side skips, drop-offs in traffic, hit-ahead passes in transition — Rosalez made sure everybody ate.
Scoring-wise, he was just as dangerous. He stretches defenses well beyond the three-point line, and when he lets it fly, it’s pure. All net. Rarely touching rim. He can finish with either hand in traffic and absorbs contact without losing body control. A consistent 14 points and 7 assists per game, plus a couple steals and 3 rebounds — that’s production. That’s leadership. That’s captain-level impact.
Team-wise, “SKILLED GAME” left no doubt.

- Defeated Cali Hogs South 63–33
- Defeated Cali Hogs West 80–48
- Took care of Splash Bay 63–27
- Finished the job in the Championship against Stack Days 42–32
The only “test” of the weekend still ended in a double-digit victory.
Through it all, Rosalez controlled the pace and kept everyone involved. That’s winning basketball. That’s championship DNA.
“SKILLED GAME” out of Arizona is a program you better keep your eyes on, unless you’ve already been watching.
And as for Mr. Damien Rosalez?
