DJ Tarver continues to separate himself nationally — and this weekend at the Neo Elite Camp was another loud statement.
Competing up two full grades in the Class of 2032 division, DJ was the only true 2034 prospect in the entire camp. By the end of the event, that detail didn’t matter. His maturity, pace, and production erased the age gap completely.
DJ was selected as a Top 20 performer in the 2032 class, an impressive accomplishment considering he was going head-to-head with players two years older and physically more developed.
All-Star Game Explosion
In the All-Star Game, Tarver delivered one of the most electric performances of the weekend:
- 22 points
- 4 three-pointers
- 14 straight points during a dominant stretch
- Went head-to-head with Ohio’s #4 ranked 6th grader Noah Johnson
He didn’t just score — he shifted momentum. Every time his team needed a basket, DJ responded.
Throughout camp play he averaged 17 points across two games, including 18 points in Game 1 with four 3-pointers. What stood out most was how he performed under pressure. With respected evaluator Sonny Johnson on the mic all weekend — repeatedly challenging him with “DOES HE HAVE THE GOODS?!” — DJ answered with clutch shot after clutch shot.
Beyond His Years
At just 10 years old, Tarver looked completely comfortable playing up two grades. His game featured:
- Tight, controlled handles with flair
- Confident step-back threes
- Ability to finish with either hand
- Defensive toughness guarding top perimeter players
- Leadership and poise in late-game moments
Nobody in the gym could tell he was the youngest player on the floor.
This Isn’t New
Playing up is nothing new for DJ. At just 9 years old, he made the 2032 Breakout Ballers list during the Made Hoops Winter Circuit, averaging 17 points per game as a top-two option while competing against older talent.
The Bloodline
With DJ’s father being a former professional basketball standout — once regarded as one of the toughest matchups LeBron James had ever faced — the foundation is there. But DJ Tarver isn’t riding anyone’s name.
He’s creating his own.
And if Neo Elite Camp was any indication, the Class of 2034 has a problem coming — and the 2032 class just got an early preview.
