Devareus Hill Jr opened the session with a statement performance Friday night on the main court, rising to the moment against Rondo Jr and Team Rondo under the brightest lights. With the bleachers packed and standing room only, the 5’10 point guard out of Ranson Middle School showed no fear, leading Team United to a huge win and setting the tone for what turned into a dominant 8-0 record and a ticket punched to Peach Jam.
Hill Jr proved he’s the kind of guard who embraces pressure. A crafty playmaker with poise and confidence, he delivered in winning time on both ends of the floor. Whether it was creating for others, making timely plays with the ball, or coming through with clutch plays defensively, he was a major reason Team United secured the 1-point victory in one of the most watched games of the session. His feel for the game, toughness, and ability to perform in big moments make him a name worth keeping a close eye on in the 2030 class.
Devareus Hill Jr showed he can shine on the big stage and lead winning basketball.
