WHO THEY ARE / WHAT THEY DID

Jack Robinson played a major role in NYEXTREME Hoops’ run at the Vertical Hoops Championships, consistently serving as the engine behind the team’s offense. The 5th-grade guard displayed maturity beyond his age, controlling tempo, making the right reads, and keeping teammates involved throughout the weekend. Whether pushing the break or organizing in the half court, Robinson showed a natural feel for the point guard position.

STRENGTHS / EVALUATION

Robinson’s ability to balance scoring and facilitating stood out. He was a tough assignment off the bounce, using his explosiveness to get downhill and pressure defenses. Once defenses collapsed, he routinely found teammates in scoring positions, demonstrating strong vision and unselfish play. Defensively, he competed with energy, creating stops and helping swing momentum with his activity on that end of the floor. His command of the game, combined with his willingness to make winning plays, made him one of the more impactful young guards in attendance.

WHAT’S NEXT / PROJECTION

Robinson already possesses many traits coaches look for in a lead guard—poise, decision-making, competitiveness, and the ability to create for others. As he continues to develop physically and expand his offensive package, he projects as a young guard with plenty of upside. His understanding of how to impact the game beyond scoring makes him a name worth tracking moving forward.
