Mark Hill Jr. put together one of the more impressive guard performances of the weekend, helping City Rocks finish 2-2 against some of the top teams in the country. The 2030 point guard consistently controlled the pace of the game while producing offensively, proving he can impact winning as both a scorer and facilitator.

Hill displayed the qualities coaches look for in a lead guard. He played with poise, made quality decisions with the ball, and consistently created advantages off the dribble. His downhill pressure repeatedly forced defenses into difficult situations, earning frequent trips to the free throw line where he converted at an elite rate. He also showed confidence from the perimeter, knocking down jumpers from beyond the arc while flashing a reliable mid-range game when defenses took away the rim.

Against Alabama Fusion, Hill finished with 15 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals in a hard-fought two-point victory while shooting 7-for-7 from the free throw line. He followed with 15 points and 5 assists against Oakland Soldiers, again converting 7-for-7 at the stripe. Despite battling an injury versus Drive Nation, he contributed 9 points and 4 assists. He closed the weekend with his best outing, exploding for 28 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals in another two-point win over Pro Skills while finishing 13-for-14 from the free throw line.

Hill continues to establish himself as one of the premier point guards in the Class of 2030. His ability to score efficiently, create for teammates, and consistently put pressure on opposing defenses makes him a complete lead guard with tremendous long-term upside. As he continues to develop physically and refine his perimeter game, expect his stock to continue trending upward.
