BREAKOUT PERFORMANCE ON THE WEST COAST

First time covering West Coast talent, Lincoln Hawthorne made sure he stood out in a big way. The Class of 2034 guard earned MVP honors at the SoCal Prociety Top 25 Showcase, separating himself in a one-day setting built around skill, feel, and live evaluation. From start to finish, he looked like a true lead guard who could control tempo, create advantages, and produce under pressure.

ADVANCED SKILL SET & FLOOR GENERAL FEEL

A crafty, high-IQ guard, Hawthorne consistently dictated pace and showed strong timing throughout the session. He understands how to change speeds effectively, using a tight handle to shift defenders and open up scoring lanes.

He finished through multiple contested situations, showing body control, touch, and creativity around the rim. In pick-and-roll actions, he looked comfortable and composed—reading screens well, making correct decisions, and keeping the offense organized.

What stood out most was his vision. He consistently involved teammates, balanced scoring with playmaking, and showed maturity beyond his age. His mid-range pull-up game and controlled shot creation added another layer to his offensive impact.

LONG-TERM UPSIDE

In a setting designed to highlight skill and feel rather than raw athletic dominance, Hawthorne clearly separated himself as one of the more polished young guards in attendance. His ability to control tempo, process reads, and create efficient offense points to strong long-term upside. Early indicators suggest a trajectory worth tracking closely in the 2034 class, especially as one of the more advanced West Coast guards at his stage
