DJ Sebastian continues building a reputation as one of the top guards in New York, putting together an impactful weekend against elite Jr. EYBL competition. The Class of 2030 guard showcased his all-around game while leading with toughness, composure, and an advanced understanding beyond his age group. Whether creating for teammates, disrupting defensively, or scoring within the flow, Sebastian consistently influenced winning possessions.
Evaluation
What separates Sebastian is the complete package. A true two-way guard with exceptional instincts, he was a pickpocket defender all weekend, creating chaos in passing lanes while applying pressure without sacrificing discipline. His ability to anticipate actions and make timely reads stands out immediately.
Offensively, Sebastian plays with pace and confidence. He’s strong with the ball, capable of making advanced passes, and displays creativity as a facilitator. His mid-range game continues to develop into a reliable weapon, while his shooting ability forces defenders to respect him at multiple levels. One of the more unique traits in his game is his comfort finishing and shooting with either hand — a rare ambidextrous skillset adding another layer to an already difficult cover.
